Above: The Milestone XProtect logo. Integration is typically handled via a dedicated 'Integriti Plugin' installed on the VMS server.
🧠 The Concept
The ultimate goal of VMS integration is a "Single Pane of Glass." Operators should be able to see video and control doors from a single screen. This lesson covers how the Integriti Professional software communicates with Milestone XProtect to share events and commands.
🛠️ Hands-on Steps
- Install Plugin: Run the Inner Range Milestone Plugin installer on the Milestone Management Server.
- Configure Users: Create a dedicated "Integration User" in both Integriti and Milestone with appropriate permissions.
- Map Doors: In the Milestone Management Client, drag-and-drop Integriti doors onto your site maps.
- Define Rules: Set up a rule in Milestone: "On Access Denied -> Trigger Camera 1 Pop-up."
